Travel times by car 

French roads are very good, with little traffic and good service areas/laybys.

Roscoff : 60 minutes 
St Malo : 3 hours 
Caen : 4 hours 
Le Harve : 5 hours 
Calais : 7 hours 
Dieppe:  5.5 hours 

Trains 

There is a TGV fast train directly from Paris to Morlaix which is 40 minutes away (takes 3 and 3/4 hours) where you can reserve a car in advance with Avis or Hertz. You can book tickets online  www.voyages-sncf.com.
